[A] Habba Khatoon, also known by the honorary title The Nightingale of Kashmir, was a Kashmiri Muslim poet and ascetic in the 16th century. She was the consort of King Yousuf Shah Chak but attained immortality as the queen of song.

Yoūsuf Shāh Chak was the fourth Sultan of Kashmir from the Chak dynasty from 1578 to 1579 and then from 1580 to 1586. Yousuf succeeded his father, Ali Shah Chak, who crowned Yousuf before he died. Yousuf defeated all other contenders for the throne, including his uncle Abdal Chak, and ascended the throne in 1578.

[C] A shikara ride is a traditional Kashmiri boat experience, primarily found on Dal Lake in Srinagar. It involves a leisurely journey in a beautifully decorated, long, and narrow wooden boat called a shikara.
