Discover Doodhpathri: Kashmir’s Hidden Paradise with Denizen Holidays
Nestled in the Budgam district, just 42 km from Srinagar, Doodhpathri (meaning “Valley of Milk”)[1] is Kashmir’s best-kept secret. Named for the milky-white Shaliganga River that flows through its meadows, this untouched haven offers lush grasslands, pine forests, and panoramic views of the Pir Panjal[2] Range. Unlike crowded spots like Gulmarg or Pahalgam, Doodhpathri promises serenity, adventure, and raw natural beauty, making it perfect for travellers seeking an offbeat Kashmir experience[3].
🌄 Why Choose Doodhpathri?
- Unspoiled Landscapes:
- Lush Meadows: Summer (April–June) carpets the valley in wildflowers, while winter (November–February) transforms it into a snowy wonderland.

- Wildlife & Flora: Spot marmots, Himalayan birds, and alpine flowers like buttercups and daisies.
